We continued Mother’s Day celebrations by hosting a private shopping event and “Mother-Daughter Date Night” with Mi Golondrina a couple Mondays ago! Mi Golondrina is a brand WHERE THE GENERATIONS MEET™ for Lolli and me…and Liza, too, since the brand now has collections for baby girls in collaboration with MADRE! We had so much fun with Mi Golondrina founder Cristina Lynch and all the friends and mother-daughter duos who joined us. Three generations of fabulous ladies mixed and mingled in Mi Golondrina’s Dallas showroom, which provided the perfect setting for #intentionalmemories over refreshments, fashion, photography, and even live sketches by KCA Design Co!
Mi Golondrina offers hand-embroidered tops, dresses, and accessories for women and girls. After working for Oscar De La Renta, Cristina Lynch founded her brand in 2013 with the dream of creating a high-end clothing line that highlighted the beauty of Mexico she grew up seeing on trips to her mother’s hometown of Torreón, Mexico. It’s inspired by maternal heritage, just like Lolli and Me! Each item in the Mi Golondrina collection begins in the small villages of Mexico, where the pieces are hand-embroidered by local artisans, and the line is sold online, through pop-up shops, and at the Dallas showroom, where associates can also provide live tailoring and customization!
As guests arrived, they snapped a photo keepsake, then enjoyed sips and bites while mingling and perusing the collections. Live Love Pop, another brand WHERE THE GENERATIONS MEET™, provided bags of popcorn as a thank you for “popping” by, and many of us left with new friends, as well as summer frocks and tops in tow!
Cristina modeled one of the her latest collection’s white blouses with jeans and chic accessories, while I wore an off-the-shoulder dress from Mi Golondrina’s capsule collection by MDS Stripes with a vintage belt. Lolli looked lovely in a custom Mi Golondrina floor-length gown with silver and turquoise jewelry.
Mi Golondrina recently partnered with MADRE on a darling line for tots, and the brand also has its own collections for girls, so many mamas brought daughters of all ages along for the fun!
We set out some crayons and coloring sheets for young guests, who also enjoyed getting a “special peek” at the showroom’s tailoring area with sewing machines and new products in progress. And since we believe in iced cookies for every occasion, Tart Bakery made a tray of cookies inspired by Mi Golondrina’s dresses for our little shoppers and friends.
