Sunglasses for Spring and Summer

Some quality pairs of go-to sunglasses are accessories worth the investment, since they always fit and last for years! While we prefer classic over trendy, some of the latest styles are emphasizing innovative, stand-out frames and lenses in vibrant colors and unique shapes. While those trends come and go, it’s always fun to have a few “fun” pairs to pull out on vacation in addition to your everyday shades. It’s also important to know which styles are best for your face shape.

I’ve been getting a lot of comments about the sunglasses I wore on a recent family ski trip, and they just happen to be on sale! These Karen Walker Star Sailor monochromatic sunglasses are a great accessory for any occasion, from mountains to sand. Pair them with a chic caftan or cover up and you are beach-ready! This style is best suited for round, oblong and square face shapes. The classic yet modernized Ray-Ban Jackie Ohh is flattering on most face shapes, especially heart-shaped and square! If you’re looking for a unique take on the classic feminine look, go bold this spring with one of my personal favorites, the new Jackie Ohh II. They even come in a prescription version! When it comes to buying sunglasses, knowing your face size and shape is important, as that will help you find a better fitting, more functional pair of sunglasses. If you have a heart-shaped or square face, look for cat-eye, round or oval styles:

Lolli loves classic, tortoise-shell and black frames, and she adds prescription lenses to hers, which you can find at many retailers. Clip on sunglasses by brands like Chanel are another great, prescription-friendly option! Rectangular and square patterned frames are best for round and oval face shapes.
