Classic Children’s Brands We Love

Behind every well-dressed child is a mama (or grandmother) who knows best and shops accordingly! Classic clothing for boys and girls alike is making a comeback, and at Lolli and Me, we are loving it! From traditional smocking to fine fabrics and “Peter Pan” collars, fall sweaters to bloomers and beachwear, a child’s perfect wardrobe mix is always a work in progress.

Lolli saved many of my brother’s timeless outfits that my sons now enjoy, but we also enjoy sourcing new family heirlooms in curated boutiques or online. Since our littles grow so fast, we are always hunting for a balance of sweet heirloom outfits for special occasions, as well as traditional everyday-wear that’s polished yet playful. And we’ll always try to match or coordinate the kids’ outfits for as long as we can!

With a baby girl on the way, we have been on the lookout for all things pink and precious lately, too. Here are some looks for both boys and girls from five children’s clothing brands we love right now:

Florence Eiseman

The brand that the Kennedy children often wore is still in business and darling as ever! From gorgeous lace and layette heirlooms to fine fabrics and fun patterns, this company is one of the best for the special children in your life.

Helena

For little girls’ special occasion dresses and coats, Helena is the glamorous go-to brand! With a little girl of my own on the way, I dream of dressing her in such sweet frocks and frills as she grows!

Jacadi

This French brand offers everyday European looks for well-dressed little boys’ and girls’ wardrobes. I remember Lolli shopping here for my brothers and me when we were young. Their sweaters and accessories are especially chic, and they offer stylish collections in sizes from newborn to tween!

Ralph Lauren

No brand embodies classic American style more than Ralph Lauren! Their children’s collections offer traditional polo shirts in miniature sizes as well as other signature looks from baby sizes to school-aged and beyond for the most all-American boys and girls. My boys live in their sweaters and quilted jackets during colder weather!

Vive La Fête

Every Southern child’s closet has to have some something (or nearly everything) smocked! Vive la Fête is one of our favorite children’s brands that offers a great selection of smocked dresses, tees, and outfits for different seasons and year-round occasions.
