Jamie Coulter and Lindsey McClain, co-designers of La Vie Style House, met in a Pilates Bar class and quickly bonded over their love of fashion. Both had worked in the fashion industry and wanted to begin a new venture together. They begin styling clients and found a need for easy transitional pieces that could go from day to night. They started sourcing avant-garde fabrics, hand-sewn laces and vintage fabrics in an effort to fill a market void. With their mutual affinity for cool effortless pieces, La Vie Style House was born!

This Dallas-based company offers chic caftans (and now kimono styles, too!) that have become a new wardrobe staple for Lolli and me. You know how much we love Caftans and Coverups in the summertime and may even remember us featuring some La Vie Style House pieces in our Memorial Day Style post! With expanded inventory and new styles on their web site that launched last week, as well as an exclusive summer collection available now at Barney’s, the timing is right for us to share more about this glamorous go-to brand with y’all!
Caftans
These one-size-fits-all caftans can be styled from day to night and are great for travel! Dress them up with heels and jewelry; dress them down with jeans and flats; or throw one over a swimsuit as a beach cover up with sandals! These statement pieces are certainly an investment, but with how versatile they are, think of it as getting three outfits in one!
La Vie’s head-turning 3D lace caftans put them on the map with Dallas fashionistas and beyond. The long hot pink caftan (pictured below!) is one of my personal favorites. I just wore it hosting a dinner party in my home then more recently at an event in Honolulu! This stand-out style that’s sure to get compliments is currently available in the following colors, all perfect for summer nights!

Kimonos
La Vie Style House recently came out with a line of kimonos to offer another collection of beautiful fabrics in flattering cuts. Like the caftans, these are also available in “one size fits all,” and they really do work great on all body shapes and sizes (like a wrap dress!). These collectible kimonos also come in both mini and long styles, and they can be dressed up or down for everyday style. I like the idea of the mini kimonos as an added “jacket” layer over an outfit with jeans or wide-leg pants in the cooler months!
