Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays to celebrate! It holds a lot of importance for Lolli and me, not only due to its spiritual significance, but also because of the fond memories and family traditions (both old and new!) behind it. With young kids of my own, I try to find fun and creative ways to make #intentionalmemories each year, while also intentionally sharing about the true meaning of Easter. We’ve gathered some fun Easter activities, craft ideas and children’s books below to inspire your own Easter traditions, all still available to order by Good Friday!
Easter Activities & Crafts for Kids

Crafts are a great way to get your kids engaged in the season and to teach them about the Easter story. There are so many great Easter craft options for girls and boys of all ages, from coloring books to LEGO building kits and egg-painting kits. My boys especially like the Eggmazing Egg Decorator, which is a fun and (almost) mess-free way to decorate Easter eggs with colorful markers! We make those as an alternative to dying eggs, and put the finished creations in a pretty bowl as part of our holiday décor!
My kids love getting butterfly cocoons from Cebolla Fine Flowers or The Butterfly Guy each spring. There are so many metaphors in nature this time of year that parallel with the Easter story we’re celebrating. My kids also love the Sensory Kits by Young, Wild + Friedman. This Easter Kit makes for a fun, hands on way to celebrate the Easter holiday!

Books about the Easter Story
There are many great children’s books about springtime and the Easter story that you can read as a family during this holiday season. We like reading a chapter out of the Jesus Storybook Bible every weekend during Lent, leading up to Easter Sunday. As my boys are getting older, they especially enjoy books that are interactive, like the Easter Story Egg!
Here are some other children’s books for this time of year:
