Live Love Pop

Live Love Pop is a brand WHERE THE GENERATIONS MEET™ and a favorite snack around our house! We’re especially excited to highlight this purposeful popcorn company and its amazing founder Lauren Brundage Mariel today, since she and I go back to high school together and ended up going to the same college, too! I remember Lauren snacking on popcorn all the time even then, so it’s no surprise this has become her business–and a successful one at that! Not only is Live Love Pop delicious (It’s hard to choose just one favorite flavor!), but the company supports some great causes, too. Read more below about how Lauren’s mother and her rare diagnosis inspired the launch of this POP-timistic endeavor:

The Story Behind Live Love Pop

Some of my most fond memories as a young girl were spent in the kitchen with my mother dishing up delectable goodies of all sorts. It all started when my mom taught me how to make a batch of homemade, healthy popcorn straight from the pan. Needless to say, I was instantly hooked. It was a simple, good-for-you snack that pleased a crowd and had family and friends begging for more.

After my mom was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer in 2013, I quit my job at a national magazine to spend more time with her and to help my mom through the long journey of aggressive treatments. Shocked and heartbroken with this news, I knew I had to channel my energy into something that would help create a better tomorrow— And with that, I decided to launch Live Love Pop in honor of my mom. My dream was to create a HAPPY and HEALTHY snack that not only tasted delish and made people feel good, but also create a product that had a real purpose and mission behind it — since after all, I was starting this company to honor my mother and to help with the fight against cancer.

For me, the joy of giving back and making a difference in the world has always been important, which is why at Live Love Pop, we give back to different charities with each different flavor. My mother’s favorite flavor, Truffle Salt, donates back to Breast Cancer Research. A Recipe to Make With Mom
